Pink Sunday Cancer Awareness

While Pink Sunday has traditionally been set aside as a time to focus on Breast Cancer, we use Pink Sunday to recognize ALL Cancers as we have been afflicted by so types within our family ministry.  In dealing specifically with Breast Cancer, we know that every year, approximately 30,000 new cases of Breast Cancer are expected to occur among African-American women and 2,600 new cases in men. The best way to get in front of Breast Cancer is early detection (self check / mammograms) so that the proper treatment can be prescribed to fight this disease and be a survivor.

We also realize that there are many who have and are suffering from Lung, Prostate, Liver, Ovarian, Lymphoma, Bladder, Skin and Leukemia just to name a few and so on Sunday, October 25th, we wear PINK to recognize all those who are 'survivors' or 'succumbers' to Cancer. We know that God is still on the throne and we will declare His Word that "By His Stripes, We are Healed" (Isaiah 53:5).
